Features an arm that follows the spiral to mark the hour (which Ben Franklin seem to have left out). Drops back to 12 when it reaches the top.

- HR 1688 or 12888 type high-torque clock movement with brass nut for miniute shaft including all the mounting hardware- nut, flat washer and rubber washer.
Overall shaft length of 15, 17 or 20 mm can be used.
Clock movement can be purchased here or here or here - 2mm brass or stainless stell round rod stock minimum 150mm long
Tools required to assemble
- Pliers with jaws having rounded grip for holding brass rods firmly without scratching, or sandwich the rod between thick cardboard or cloth to protect the rods from scratches.
- Small rubber hammer to insert the movement minute brass nut on to the drive gear. C-clamp may also be used.
- 3 Pin vise to hold the following:

- 2mm drill bit
- A reamer made with a ~50mm length of 2mm brass or stainless steel round rod with one tip cut diagonally approximately 45°. This tip will be used to cut material out. Leave burrs and sharp edges as is.
- 3mm drill bit
- Multi-purpose or CA glue to bond Dial to Driven Gear
