
Tilt Hammer Jake
The hammers were usually raised by a cam and then released to fall under the force of gravity. Historically, trip hammers were often powered hydraulically by a water wheel.
These hammers were huge. Imagine the amount of force you needed to turn the cam and lift the hammer. Amazing enough the power of water was able to complete this task
