This is for the nerds among us! The ring has screw thread on the outside, on which a nut can be screwed. It has a built in washer, so the nut tightens itself into position and stays there.

• Thickness of inner ring is 2.15 mm
  
• Thickness of nut is 1.85 at thinnest point and 3.55 mm at thickest point
• Thickess of combination is 3.75 at thinnest point and 5.2 mm at thickest point
